Ideal for atmosphere or a variety of scenarios ranging from horror and suspense to science-fiction.
This large selection of gunshots and weapon Foley sounds would be just the thing to give any combat scene a real punch. Particularly impressive is the utterly huge number of bullet impact sounds. However, I think it perhaps fails to stand out in comparison to other gun libraries available from Sound Ideas such as Guns, HD Military and Weapons and Military and Weapons SFX Series, all of which I rate most highly. Having said this, I'm aware that this library's main purpose is to enhance your mix rather than to be the mainstay of a scene or production. Another notable feature is a good number of 'sweeteners'. Sound Ideas are, I think, wise to bundle this one with Guns. So if Gun Fire and Foley has disappointed me, I think the fault may be mine for grabbing one gun library too many.
A tremendously welcome library of recordings made aboard several large ocean-going vessels. I would be surprised to find anything quite like it elsewhere. While I haven't had time yet to thoroughly listen, the recordings are of course excellent, and I'm most impressed by the range of ships and the variety of situations included. Particularly welcome to me is the large selection of ship-board doors, which I think may well serve in other arenas, such as an offshore naval station, or even an airship or spacecraft. There is an impressive collection of sirens and horns also. I think some more approach and departure takes, both from a deck and shore perspective, would have rounded it out to perfection—but in all other respects this is a splendid one-of-a-kind library.
A large selection of vocal sounds and common words and phrases. The quality of the recordings is excellent, with most being entirely dry and without background noise. Performance in spoken phrases and longer passages are perhaps not always 'stellar', but as most of these clips will likely be used either for spoken interface feedback or in the background of your production, this does not detract from the general usefulness of the collection. Many of the clips have great comic potential, and the large selection of broadcast passages would be highly effective in enriching any domestic or travel scene. Residing in the UK, I notice the lack of many British accented voices, but it is of course to be expected being produced in America! I definitely recommend.
A great toolkit for anyone needing both out-of-the-box effects and sweetner effects for existing sounds!
One of the best sound libraries I've purchased! There's so much variety and polish you rarely see.
The quality of these tiger roars is spot on, especially if you're looking for hq audio clips to add to your creature designs. Not the classic stock tiger roars, but original royalty-free recordings that sound like they came out of Hollywood.
The WB Sound Effects Library has every classic cartoon sound I was looking for, and in excellent quality. This site has a deep catalog of sound effects and music. A trusted source for many years. Please keep up the good work, Sound-Ideas.
Surprisingly useful sound library, even in 2026. There's a ton of the classic sounds in here that you'll recognize, and they're certainly fun to use, but none of them are particularly crunchy: the actual files are quite high quality. You just remember them as crunchy because, well, it was the 90's and you were playing Arena on a 486, of course it was.
The ability to audition the tracks was a great help. Quality is excellent.
Expensive, obviously, but has been exceptionally comprehensive and saved my butt a few times already on a fast paced job. Woohoo!
Wish it had more recognizable Jay Ward sounds like all the various explosions on their own.
Incredible collection of swamp sounds. This was exactly what I'd been searching for! Really impressed with the selection of sounds, but also the impeccable quality of every track.
Best place for music. I just finished my first short film and it is 1000 times better thanks to Sound Ideas. My short is comedy and this Classic Drama Music 1 bundle works surprisingly well. I love the Classic feel to it. A great buy I will surely end up using for many more genres and projects. I highly recomend any bundle here.
