Sound Ideas, the world's largest publisher of professional sound effects, announces the release of Military Tanks Series Sound Effects.

Military Tanks Series Sound Effects library is a collection of 544 interior and exterior recordings from six different tanks as they are put through their paces. The tank engines grind and roar to life and idle in place. Then they move out slowly, maneuver through water and mud, drive over bumpy terrain, crush cars, and travel at increasing speeds demonstrating pass bys, pull ups and pull aways. Foley recordings from these military vehicles include switches, levers, hatches, pedals, metal seats, shifters, toggles, ammunition boxes, turrets and periscopes.

The tanks used in the recordings for this collection are the FV432 APC (armored personnel carrier) of the British Army’s FV430 series of armored fighting vehicles, the Abbot FV433 the self-propelled fighting vehicle with a fully rotating turret at the rear, the M4 Sherman E8 (Easy 8), U.S. medium tank which played a fundamental role in the World War 2 Allied victory, the Chieftain FV4201 which was the main battle tank of the United Kingdom during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, the T-54 main battle tank that was designed in the Soviet Union, and the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), commonly known as the Humvee.

Military Tanks Sound Effects collection was digitally recorded at 24 bit /96 K. The download of the Military Tanks Series is available as 16/44.1, 16/48, 24/48 or 24/96 wav files.
