Manage and modify your metadata and control your entire sound effects and production music library in one easy to use application. Soundminer offers solutions for both Mac and PC platforms.
Soundminer is at home with either sound effects or music (or just about any digital audio file). But it is much more than just a search engine. It is a powerful scalable asset management system optimized for speed and flexibility - at prices that start at $199 US. Soundminer is a high resolution playback and conversion engine that can work natively with 24 bit, 192 kHz multi-channel files. It has high quality varispeed and the ability to add VST plug-ins for sound designing, there are options for centralized shared databasing, enterprise security, project management, and all the necessary utilities to control your metadata. It has extensive server options that include support for Active and Open Directory, HTTP support and a unique and feature rich web portal option.
Soundminer will work on any Macintosh computer running system OSX 10.4 and higher, and on XP platform PC computers. Any local or network drive containing audio files can act as a database source. It supports SD2f, AIFF, BWAV, Mp3, and AAC (mpeg 4) file formats and Soundminer will also read and write to the BWAV bext chunk, acquire any mp3 ID3 tags when scanning, and import to and export from any and all fields.

A value packed light version of the Mac V4 platform that allows you to read multiple types of metadata, displays the advanced fields and pictures of the V4 platform and allows access to the many search features found in its bigger brothers. Drag and drop sound files in or out of the system to any supporting application. Miniminer supports two preset databases - one optimized for music and one optimized for sound effects.
